The President's Gift

In December 2006, Downeaster received a call from the office of President George W. Bush. The President needed a one-of-a-kind gift for the Vice President, and a Downeaster weather panel had been chosen.

Working with the President's staff, Downeaster created a special configuration, consisting of a Wind Speed/Direction, Indoor/Outdoor Minimum/Maximum Temperature, and a Tide Clock, all mounted on our signature mahogany panel.

Here is the panel, all ready to go, with some of our proud craftsmen who assembled the panel:
